Tipping your driver

Every Alto trip includes a “Service Fee” equal to 18% of your final fare.  We collect this Service Fee to support ongoing Alto operations, including but not limited to distributing incentive compensation to Drivers and/or other Alto personnel involved in managing and maintaining the Alto Service. For this reason, you should always feel no obligation to tip your Alto Driver or any other Alto personnel. All transactions will be handled through the mobile app so you never have to worry about pulling out your wallet.
